Story Overview
Humanity is in danger of going extinct in the world that the witch Elena Mercurio has destroyed. The humans are besieged by Elena's abilities and devotion to the Demon King, and they devise a last-ditch plan to defeat her. Elena must adjust and survive in a human shelter after being teleported to the future without her abilities and without disclosing who she really is. She meets Taro Yushia in her new environment, a young idealist who looks up to the "Hero of Creation" and longs to go overseas to aid the underprivileged. Taro exposes Elena to the human race as she is hatching her revenge plan, revealing to her a previously undiscovered aspect of humanity: generosity, hospitality, and aspirations for justice. Despite her desire to cause harm, Elena starts to doubt her purpose after realizing how much people have improved her life. Elena must battle alongside Taro to defend the villagers as a red dragon attacks, utilizing what little magic she still possesses. The people now view her as a hero, but she now faces a new challenge. Her animosity against people starts to change, especially when Taro is by her side and wants to travel with her. Will Taro's ideals and his vision of a better world have an impact on Elena, or will she be able to carry out her revenge plan?
