Story Overview
Following the divorce of her parents, high school student Sendo Chihiro relocates from Tokyo to the rural island of Hanayama. The island where she relocates has an odd quality. There is a massive "water tower" erected in the center of the island, strange rites that appear out of nowhere, and overt discrimination against foreigners. A fisherman is fatally stabbed in his house one day. The unexpected culprit is exposed, and suspicion of the murderer spreads throughout the island.
