Story Overview

Set in a future Japan, 500 years after a perpetual war called "Eternity" was called to a determination by a marvel, individuals live in "the time after forever". Christianity has spread and the Vatican now control ordinary life; individuals are partitioned into the "profoundly passionate" and the "not all that dedicated". Ogito is known for being "pagan" and is taken as an assistant in the "bureau of holy people" in the "marvel reviews" area, halfway because of his perusing numerous taboo books. He is instantly taken off on an assessment where a preist - the leader of his three man group - is executed, and Ogito is left just with the odd Izumi - a man who surrendered his life to God to give his heart a chance to dwell in a manikin.
